A recent groundbreaking for McDaniels Acura of Newnan was held, signifying the development of 17 acres of land on Newnan Crossing Bypass.

Based out of Columbia, South Carolina, the Newnan dealership will be the third Acura store in the McDaniels Auto Group family. Owner Bill McDaniels has been with the Acura family since March 26, 1986, and has over 50 years in the auto business.

“What’s special about this one is that it’s the first of its kind – a Generation 4 – that Acura has launched,” said Bill McDaniels. “It’s very high tech and we’re excited about bringing it to Newnan.”

The Newnan dealership will take up approximately 6 of the 17 acres being developed, and will host a 26,000 square foot facility.

The Acura dealership will be one of three dealerships set to occupy the land, although the remaining two have not been confirmed yet.

“With the amount of dirt we need to move, it makes sense to do all of the site work at once, rather than waiting one at a time,” McDaniels said. “Once all dealerships are completed, they should employ around 200 people with an average salary of $50,000.

“We support every community we’re involved in and we’re looking forward to showing people how much we give back,” McDaniels said.

The Acura dealership is expected to be complete by late spring, early summer 2022.
